Personal Notes ​

Personal Notes let you store any text securely with end-to-end encryption. Use them for sensitive information that doesn't fit into other categories.

Use cases ​

  • Private journal entries
  • Secure reminders
  • Sensitive meeting notes
  • Private thoughts and ideas
  • Encrypted drafts
  • Confidential information

Creating a personal note ​

  1. Open Ente Locker
  2. Tap the + button
  3. Select Personal Notes
  4. Enter a title for your note
  5. Write your note content in the text field
  6. Optionally, select a collection
  7. Tap Save

Features ​

Rich text content ​

Personal Notes support plain text content. Write as much as you need - there's no character limit.

Organization ​

Add notes to collections to group related content together. For example, create a "Work" collection for work-related notes or "Personal" for private entries.

Find notes quickly using the search function. Search matches against both the title and content of your notes.

Editing notes ​

  1. Tap on a note to open it
  2. Tap the edit button
  3. Make your changes
  4. Tap Save

Sharing notes ​

Share individual notes with other Ente users or create public links:

  1. Open the note you want to share
  2. Tap the share button
  3. Choose to share with a specific Ente user or create a public link
